Our new ribbon heating mats are easy to install. The mats have the ribbons pre spaced, meaning that the heat is distrubuted evenly throughout the floor area, the ribbons cover 30% of the heating mat enabling it to provide a high level of even heat at low working temperatures, they are a fully earth screened system complete with EMF shielding for full compliance with the IEE regulations, please ensure when installing under carpet heating in conjunction with carpets that you use a low tog underlay .08 tog or less, also that the combined tog value with the carpet is less than 2.5 tog
When installing underfloor heating under carpets please measure the room taking into account any gripper rods in the room sizes, allow 5cm each side, our ribbon heating mats must be used inconjunction with either our xps premium boards or our xps standard boards, you can then lay the low tog under lay and then fit your carpet, For primary heating solutions choose mat sizes to make up around 90% floor area coverage then select your choice of leading programmable digital thermostat and premium or standard insulation boards
Our under carpet heating kits contain the Aube TH132-F programmable digital thermostat as standard, we are currently offering a free upgrade to the TR3100 remote control thermostat, this has the option to switch between Floor/Air/Floor+Air, complete with floor temperature probe, conduit housing. The kit also contains all tapes and adhesives needed
The heat energy from an underfloor heating system can travel in both directions - up and down. Cement/screeded floors can act as a heat sink absorbing lots of energy from your under floor heating system, you must always use our insulations boards directly beneath our heating mats, this will significantly improve the performance of your floor heating system and save you money on wasted warm up times.
